It was then he fell apart, whirling around and grabbing hold of her wrists, shoving her up against the wall firmly, "Do you think these tears are for her, Adella?!! Do you think I weep because I have lost her?!"

He couldn't keep his wife, but in truth he hadn't wanted to. The tears were not for Ariana, but instead, a beautiful maiden he had met among the ruins of a forgotten village. A maiden who's ancient wisdom and kind heart enthralled him. For ten years he had longed for her, longed for merely this penniless girl. He hadn't wanted anything else, but because of his oaths to Ariana he had stayed true.

She had definitely not expected that, nor expected such a fire in his eyes. "...I...w-well... yes..." She had to answer him honestly though, right?

She did not understand. This frustrated him, and so he did the only thing he could in order to explain himself.

Before she could even react he was kissing her, his black hair falling about her face, his powerful arms crushing her against him.
